Demise of British Car Manufacture

The news is of the uncertainty of Vauxhall production in the UK. The parent company, General Motors, has announce that the company is to be sold to the Canadian Magna International. Four years down the line the report on the MG Rover sales saga is also destined to fill the financial if not the motoring press. And who can forget that Tata owns the erstwhile Jaguar Rover marque.
I wonder how many of the cars currently made by these iconic companies, will still be around in fifty years time, unlike our Jowetts
